Podiatrist - Quality Patient Care

We are seeking a highly skilled Podiatrist to join our team at the Department of Veterans Affairs. As a Podiatrist, you will provide quality patient care in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in podiatric medicine and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment
- Perform specific duties within your approved scope of practice
- Qualify to perform duties as a podiatrist, have completed an accredited residency, and/or possess experience that has qualified you to perform general duties and some specialized functions and procedures without supervision
- Work effectively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of the United States
- Education: Degree as a doctor of podiatric medicine, or its equivalent, from a school of podiatric medicine approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs
- Residency Training: Completed, or currently completing, residency training, or its equivalent, approved by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs in an accredited core specialty training program leading to eligibility for board certification
- Licensure & Registration: Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice Podiatry in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States or in the District of Columbia
- English Language Proficiency: Must be proficient in spoken and written English in accordance with 38 U.S.C. 7402(d)
This position requires visual acuity, keen hearing, clear distinctive speech, and manual dexterity. Potentially long periods of continued walking, standing, stooping, sitting, bending, pulling, and pushing. Transferring patients and objects may be required. May be exposed to infected patients and contaminated materials and may be required to don protective clothing in isolation situations or operative/invasive procedures.
