About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Sustainability Consultant to join our team at WSP USA. As a key member of our Climate, Resilience and Sustainability Team, you will be responsible for leading client-facing teams in the design, management, and reporting of product and organizational sustainability programs, focusing on Life Cycle Assessments (LCA).

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead delivery of LCA projects from start to finish, including research, data collection, quality assurance, and reporting.
  • Develop and present analyses using software platforms such as LCA For Experts, SimaPro, and openLCA.
  • Produce reports, presentations, and Environmental Product Declarations (EPDs) based on LCA results.
  • Research opportunities to reduce environmental impacts in the life cycle of a product or service.
  • Support business development activities with existing and prospective clients.
  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in LCA, sustainability, energy, climate, and/or environmental management consulting.
  • Experience with developing ISO 14040 and ISO 14044 conformant LCA reports.
  • Familiarity with product design process, manufacturing, supply chain management, circular economy principles, and methods of reducing waste.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills, and use of Microsoft Office programs.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in engineering, energy, sustainability, or environmental discipline.
  • Experience using LCA software and methodologies.
  • Experience with ISO standards relevant to LCA.
  • Experience with sector areas such as electronics/tech, food and beverage, agriculture, apparel/textiles, construction products.
