Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with portfolio managers to understand their business requirements and translate these requirements into technical specifications.
  • Design, test, and implement processes, tools, and systems in partnership with in-house IT, risk, and finance teams, as well as external software vendors and service providers, to support the front-office investment workflow.
  • Develop and write test plans for system, process, and product upgrades, and participate in User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Develop and maintain user guides and documentations relating to processes, tools, and systems implemented for front-office investment workflow.
  • Plan and work with multiple departments to implement roadmaps of desired front-office workflow, including feature development and upgrades.
  • Ensure front-office processes and procedures meet internal standards for data integrity, security, and auditability.
  • Monitor, analyze, and troubleshoot front-office processes to ensure their smooth functioning, including liaising with the in-house IT department and external service providers in the troubleshooting and resolution of production issues.
  • Manage project implementations with vendors and service providers, covering procurement and related administrative issues.
  • Oversee change management to facilitate new product and/or system adoption, including possible re-engineering of workflow and processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Information Technology or equivalent.
  • At least 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience, including business analysis/product management of systems used in similar functions, in the asset management domain.
  • Knowledge in risk management and/or trade processing domain is an added advantage.
  • Strong sense of ownership and growth mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills and critical thinking with good problem-solving skills.
  • Good understanding of user-centric principles and/or service design.
  • Adept communicator (both written and verbal) with the ability to effectively convey complex information to stakeholders across all levels.
  • Experience working in cross-functional groups, representing views of different stakeholders and influencing teams towards achieving shared goals.
  • Ability to manage a number of projects at the same time, with varying technical requirements, level of stakeholder engagement, and completion timelines.
  • Ability to adapt to changing business requirements due to unforeseen restrictions/constraints in the existing system.
  • Experience in developing test plans and managing testing for project implementation/enhancements.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining user guides and system documentations.
  • Experience in managing project scheduling and timelines for prompt completion of work tasks.
