Accounting Manager Job Description

RBC Bearings seeks a highly skilled Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting operations, ensuring compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements, and supporting the Controller in budget preparation and financial forecasting.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Statement Preparation: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Accounting Operations: Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger, ensuring efficient and accurate processing.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements, identifying and mitigating potential risks to the organization.
  • Internal Controls and Procedures: Assist in the development and implementation of internal controls and procedures, ensuring effective and efficient financial operations.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Support the Controller in budget preparation and financial forecasting, providing insights and recommendations to inform business decisions.
  • Financial Performance Analysis: Conduct variance analysis and provide insights on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  • Audit and Compliance: Coordinate with external auditors during audits and reviews, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Team Management: Manage and mentor junior accounting staff, providing guidance and support to ensure their success and growth within the organization.
