About the Controller Position

Creative Financial Staffing is seeking a highly skilled Controller to join our client's management team in Willoughby, Ohio. As a key member of the leadership team, the Controller will be responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the company, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and providing strategic guidance to the management team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a team of financial professionals to achieve financial goals and objectives
  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Partner with external auditors to ensure compliance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective financial operations
  • Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
  • At least 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with a focus on financial management and leadership
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
