Compensation for Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN / LPN

  • The hourly wage for this role is $30.41.

Highlights of the Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN / LPN Position

  • This role is a contract position with the potential for permanent employment based on attendance, performance, and organizational needs.
  • The position requires full-time availability, starting at 30 hours per week, with the possibility of increasing to 40 hours, including floating to nearby locations and working alternating weekends.
  • Clinic operational hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Saturday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and Sunday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Shifts will typically include 3-4 days during the week and every other weekend.

Responsibilities of the Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN / LPN

  • Deliver comprehensive, evidence-based care that includes accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health issues, health counseling, and planning for patient care. This encompasses education and treatment related to pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices.
  • Administer vaccinations and injections (including but not limited to COVID-19, influenza, and TB) and provide evidence-based counseling and education to patients and their families regarding vaccines.
  • Conduct phlebotomy and specimen collection services.
  • Evaluate patients during the intake process.
  • Measure vital signs.
  • Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG and Retinopathy screening.
  • Conduct Point of Care testing (including COVID testing).
  • Manage patient registration and intake, assist with waiting room operations, and undertake other tasks to enhance the patient experience.
  • Order necessary equipment and prepare the clinic to ensure an optimal patient experience.
  • Contribute to our mission of supporting individuals on their journey to improved health by fostering excellent patient-focused interactions and activities.

Requirements for the Licensed Vocational Nurse LVN / LPN

  • A minimum of one year of relevant experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Experience with Electronic Medical Record documentation.
  • Proficient in taking vital signs, performing phlebotomy, and conducting Point of Care Testing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including CPR and operation of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
  • Ability to pass a FIT test and wear the required respirator mask when necessary.
  • Must hold an active and in good standing LPN/LVN license in the state of practice.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Attendance is essential during the initial training period.
