Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical development of control software for power electronics, e-machines and drives, as well as leadership and supervision of junior team members. The role will involve liaison with wider team members to organize and deliver project activities, as well as technical development of control solutions, covering requirements specification, algorithm development, implementation, calibration and validation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical development of control software for power electronics, e-machines and drives
  • Leadership and supervision of junior team members
  • Liaison with wider team members to organize and deliver project activities
  • Technical development of control solutions, covering requirements specification, algorithm development, implementation, calibration and validation
  • Testing of control software, by Model-in-Loop, Hardware-in-Loop & physical testing on dyno and in-vehicle
Requirements
  • Degree in Engineering, Control / Electrical / Electronics or similar
  • Fluency in model-based development languages, especially MATLAB-Simulink
  • A sound understanding of motor control theory and practice will be necessary for success in the role
  • Experience developing control systems for power electronics systems
  • Experience providing technical leadership to engineering project teams
  • Excellent English communication skills for frequent interaction with internal and external customers
Desirable
  • Experience of Infineon AURIX family of microcontrollers
  • Proficient in programming in C
  • Experience in AUTOSAR
  • Functional safety, ISO26262 and similar
