Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage existing bridge projects and ensure timely submittals to MDOT and other agencies.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to bridge engineers during plan development.
  • Supervise and administer bridge design engineers responsible for designing and preparing contract plans and specifications.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with MDOT bridge squad leaders and other stakeholders.
  • Lead proposals for MDOT and other agencies, and develop priced proposals in accordance with owners' guidelines.
Requirements
  • PE license required.
  • 15+ years of experience in related bridge engineering positions working on MDOT and LAP projects.
  • Experience with AASHTO LRFD and LFD Bridge Design Specifications.
  • Microstation, AutoCAD/Civil 3D software experience a plus.
  • Ability to lead a multi-discipline bridge design project.
