Performance Analyst Job Description

Kovitz Investment Group is seeking a skilled Performance Analyst to support our asset management team in Greenwich, CT.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify and resolve account-specific calculation issues to ensure accurate investment performance.
  • Calculate and report investment performance for all composites and clients, adhering to Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS).
  • Collaborate with the operations team to automate performance monitoring and cleaning processes.
  • Liaise with the GIPS auditor to verify performance annually.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of our operations platform, trading platform, infrastructure, and technology.
  • Assist in correcting data errors in our portfolio accounting system.
  • Maintain internal tools for performance dissemination.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

  • A positive attitude and high energy level.
  • Proactive communication and follow-up.
  • Experience in performance calculations at an asset management firm with separately managed accounts.
  • Proficiency with performance reporting systems, preferably SS&C Technologies Sylvan.
  • Technical skills related to performance calculation, operations, investment performance measurement, GIPS, and composite management.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft products, especially Excel.
  • Proficiency in a high-level programming language, such as Python or VBA, is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
