We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Analyst - Assistant Vice President to join our Data and Analytics team. This individual will play a critical role in supporting the company's Data Governance and Data Management program throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Design, implement, and maintain the data governance framework to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance.
- Promote the data governance framework and drive adoption across all company divisions.
- Work with business partners to establish data quality standards and metrics.
- Build strong partnerships with business and technology stakeholders to complete various data projects.
- Create and maintain a data dictionary for assigned data domains.
- Monitor compliance and progress of data domains and work to achieve data governance program goals.
- Provide thought leadership to develop processes and companywide roles and responsibilities to meet data governance policy expectations.
- Negotiate ownership of data with data consumers and producers.
- Support the system of record as a single source of truth for each data element.
- Manage data management, manipulation, and capture.
- Facilitate multi-directional communication of strategies, priorities, and issues.
- Work with business units to ensure data ownership and quality.
- Champion organizational behavior change related to data use and realizing the vision of data managed as an asset.
- Effectively partner with divisions across the company to focus on end-client value.
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or business administration or 4+ years of experience in a related field.
- 3+ years of relevant hands-on data governance, data quality, or data management experience.
- Proficient with spreadsheet, presentation, and dashboard tools and able to learn quickly and adapt to new changes and challenges.
- 3+ years of working in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Credible across both business and IT.
- Understanding of operational processes, data, and systems landscape.
- Proactive and works well in a collaborative environment.
- Good attention to detail and analytical thinking.
iCapital offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $120,000 to $150,000, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including an employer-matched retirement plan, generously subsidized healthcare, parental leave, and unlimited paid time off (PTO).
We believe the best ideas and innovation happen when we are together. Employees in this role will work in the office four days, with the flexibility to work remotely one day.
