Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to join our team as a Fellow Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for driving technological innovation, solving highly complex technical challenges, and providing technical leadership across multiple teams.

You will contribute to the architecture, design, and development of key systems and set standards for engineering excellence within the organization. This role requires an individual who can influence the direction of the technology strategy, mentor senior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and robust solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and development of highly scalable, reliable, and maintainable software systems, including Linux and OpenWrt.
  • Set long-term technical direction and vision for products and services in collaboration with engineering and product teams.
  • Architect large-scale distributed systems that can handle millions of users or transactions per day.
  • Establish and enforce best practices in software development, code reviews, and testing strategies.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to senior engineers and engineering managers.
  • Collaborate closely with leadership and stakeholders to align technical decisions with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and software development methodologies.
  • Serve as a key point of contact and subject matter expert across various projects, ensuring technical consistency.
  • Conduct research and development initiatives to explore new technologies and approaches for business innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in software engineering with demonstrated technical leadership.
  • Proven experience in building large-scale, distributed systems.
  • Deep expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, Go, Rust, etc.).
  • Extensive experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and modern DevOps practices.

Salary Range

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $142,500 - $222,500 per year. The specific salary offered will depend on various factors, including relevant experience, education, skills, and location.
