Responsibilities
Job Purpose
The Golf Shop Service Representative is tasked with delivering outstanding customer service to members and guests. This role is crucial to the success of the Pro Shop and aids in the overall management of golf play.
Key Responsibilities
- Process member and guest check-ins using the Point of Sale (POS) system, handling purchases, credit card transactions, answering phone inquiries, and managing the reservation system in alignment with corporate standards.
- Implement tee sheet demand management strategies, including timely openings, double tee systems, pairing short groups, and optimizing bookings.
- Maintain a tidy and organized pro shop environment by restocking merchandise, assisting with displays, and adhering to corporate guidelines for opening and closing duties, including cash handling.
- Address member and guest service issues promptly and effectively.
- In the absence of the Golf Shop Supervisor, provide leadership by training, scheduling, and evaluating the performance of other Golf Shop Assistants.
- Foster a professional and service-oriented atmosphere in the pro shop by utilizing excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.
- Ensure service continuity by maintaining a flexible work schedule.
- Assist management in conducting staff meetings.
- Support all corporate initiatives and programs as directed by management.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Basic math skills and the ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
- Experience in handling customer service inquiries and processing cash and credit card transactions.
