Job Title: Pediatric Primary Care Registered Nurse
Job Summary:
Nemours Foundation is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pediatric Primary Care Registered Nurse to join our team in Wilmington, DE. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality, patient-centered care to pediatric patients with moderate to complex health issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide Safe and Effective Patient Care: Utilize the nursing process to deliver care that meets professional standards of practice and regulatory requirements.
- Assess and Evaluate Patient Needs: Synthesize patient assessments data and recognize complex situations prior to communicating with the care team.
- Administer Medications and Treatments: Safely administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the provider.
- Triaging Patient Calls: Utilize Barton Schmidt pediatric protocols, national telehealth standards, and clinical advice from the clinical provider to triage patient calls.
- Assist with In-Office Procedures: Assist the clinical provider with in-office procedures within the scope of the nurse's license.
- Perform Phlebotomy and Laboratory Tests: Perform phlebotomy to obtain blood specimens and back-office laboratory tests.
- Provide Age and Developmentally Appropriate Care: Provide care that meets the unique needs of pediatric patients.
Requirements:
- Education: RN Required, BSN preferred. RN applicants must agree to obtain BSN within 3 years of hire.
- Licensure: Must have or be eligible for DE nursing license.
- Experience: Pediatric Office Nurse experience required. Phone Triage experience preferred.
- Certification: BLS Certification with the American Heart Association required.
