Job Description

AbbVie is seeking a highly motivated and talented individual to join our Neuroscience Bioinformatics team as an intern. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that aim to understand the complex biology of neurological disorders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collecting and analyzing large datasets, identifying patterns and trends, and developing new insights that can inform our research and development efforts. You will work closely with our team of scientists and engineers to design and implement new analytical tools and methods, and to integrate them into our existing workflows.

This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the development of new treatments for neurological disorders and to gain hands-on experience in bioinformatics and computational biology. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects, including the analysis of genomic data, the development of new algorithms and tools, and the integration of data from multiple sources.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our team of scientists and engineers to design and implement new analytical tools and methods, and to integrate them into our existing workflows. You will also have the opportunity to present your findings and results to our team and to contribute to the development of new treatments for neurological disorders.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in bioinformatics and computational biology, as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You will also need to be able to work effectively in a team environment and to communicate complex ideas and results to both technical and non-technical audiences.

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented individual who is passionate about bioinformatics and computational biology, and who is eager to contribute to the development of new treatments for neurological disorders. Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in university, pursuing a PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology or other related field

  • Strong written, verbal and oral communication skills, good self-organization
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Expected graduation date between December 2025 July 2026
  • Exposure to eQTL and chromatin conformation data analysis
  • Exposure to neuroscience projects
