POSITION OVERVIEW

The Inventory Control Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the inventory management team by ensuring accurate stock records and assisting with inventory audits.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Facilitates inventory management by generating necessary documentation, including inventory discrepancy reports and audit notifications in accordance with company policies.
  2. Investigates inventory discrepancies and related documentation upon request from management by retrieving, copying, and forwarding relevant materials.
  3. Maintains organized inventory records, ensuring proper setup and ongoing management of inventory files.
  4. Updates and monitors the inventory management system to reflect accurate stock levels and statuses.
  5. Provides clerical support to the inventory team, assisting with various administrative tasks related to inventory control and special projects, including filing and data entry.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES

  1. May take on additional tasks and projects as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma is required, along with a minimum of two years of experience in administrative or clerical roles.

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

  1. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  2. Basic mathematical proficiency.
  3. Ability to operate standard office equipment and adhere to office protocols.
  4. Capability to work independently with minimal oversight.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  6. Proficient in computer applications, including accounting software and spreadsheets.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

An associate's degree in accounting or a related field is preferred, along with three years of experience in an administrative capacity within the inventory or logistics sector.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This role requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and may involve prolonged periods of sitting and data entry tasks.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is conducted in a standard office setting, with potential requirements for overtime during peak inventory periods.
