Job Summary

Katalyst Healthcares and Life Sciences is seeking a highly skilled Chemist II - Analytical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing analytical testing, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analytical Testing: Perform a variety of analytical tests on samples, including chromatography, spectroscopy, and other laboratory techniques.
  • Laboratory Maintenance: Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment, including chromatography systems, spectrophotometers, and other analytical instruments.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with cGMP, GLP, GCP, and GAMP regulations, as well as internal Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Quality Systems: Understand and apply quality systems, including data management and documentation.
  • Training and Development: Provide training and assistance to other laboratory staff, as well as participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Problem-Solving: Actively participate in investigations, problem-solving, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a closely related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in a laboratory setting, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with cGMPs, GLPs, GCPs, and GAMP regulations, as well as laboratory equipment and software.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule: 10-hour days, 4-day work week, with overtime as required.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and maneuver equipment and materials weighing up to 20 pounds, as well as perform cleaning and assembly/disassembly on laboratory equipment.
