Job Overview

The Osborne Association is dedicated to supporting individuals, families, and communities impacted by the criminal justice system. Our programs aim to provide avenues for healing, restoration, and growth, while challenging systemic injustices and advocating for policies that foster safety, justice, and liberation.

We are currently seeking a full-time Chief Technology Officer to lead our Information Technology department. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective and efficient operation of our IT functions. The individual will play a key role in shaping the organization's technological strategy, guiding its development, and promoting future advancements.

Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 annually

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to establish clear priorities and objectives for IT management, balancing both immediate and long-term needs.
  • Evaluate existing IT infrastructure and implement solutions to address emerging challenges, ensuring technical excellence and security.
  • Develop and oversee the annual IT budget.
  • Ensure data security and effective management practices.
  • Manage relationships with vendors and technology partners.
  • Oversee resource allocation, goal setting, and performance metrics for the IT department.
  • Engage with agency partners to assess and support their IT requirements.
  • Facilitate the creation and execution of disaster recovery and IT security plans.
  • Administer the Google Workplace environment.
  • Support the IT division's operations and promote professional development for staff.
  • Lead various technology-focused projects within the agency.
  • In-person collaboration with colleagues is essential.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Computer Science is preferred.
  • A minimum of eight years of experience in IT operations.
  • At least five years of experience in managing IT teams and projects.
  • Familiarity with HIPAA Security Guidelines.

  • Comprehensive understanding of computer systems, networks, security, telecommunications, databases, and storage solutions.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership abilities.
  • Capability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficient knowledge of relevant coding languages and security protocols.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrated experience as an IT leader.
  • Experience in the analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems.
  • Solid understanding of computer systems (hardware/software) and networks.
  • Experience in managing IT budgets effectively.
  • Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
  • Excellent communication capabilities.
