Job Title: Project Architect

At Steinberg, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Architect to join our team. As a Project Architect, you will be responsible for guiding design teams through the design and technical development and refinement of projects, as well as managing all technical documentation through each phase of construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement design concepts and solutions that meet client needs and project goals.
  • Collaborate with design teams to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Manage and maintain all technical documentation, including proposal requests, change orders, and revisions to project scope.
  • Conduct on-site observations and prepare observation reports to ensure that projects are being constructed in accordance with design intent.
  • Develop and implement project close-out efforts, including punch lists, certificate of occupancy, and certificate of substantial completion.
Requirements:
  • Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in technical and design production.
  • A degree in Architecture, preferably at the graduate level, or related field or equivalent experience required.
  • License to practice architecture in California, LEED AP preferred.
  • Proficiency in relevant computer software, including Building Information Modeling, 3D Studio max, SketchUp, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as time management skills.
  • Solid judgment based on precedent and policy in the development of a recommended course of action.
  • Understanding of risk management elements in all phases of the project.
