Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams of designers, engineers, researchers, technical experts, and consultants to create innovative IT concepts and architectural solutions.
  • Employ critical thinking and extensive IT expertise to develop novel solutions rooted in complexity.
  • Provide guidance to clients across various industries, leveraging a solid technical foundation and diverse experience.
  • Optimize IT best practices by embracing complex challenges.
  • Engage in solution and application architecture, evaluating alternative approaches.
  • Restructure IT processes and organizations as needed.
  • Support IT functions during mergers and acquisitions, focusing on the functional and technical transformation of IT departments.
  • Assess and implement IT architectures and software solutions.
  • Ensure quality assurance for IT implementations and design work packages/modules in IT projects.
  • Analyze complex IT application landscapes to optimize architecture.
  • Develop functional and technical online strategies, optimizing application development processes.
  • Assist in business development through proposal writing and project scoping.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Computer Science, Business Management, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • 6+ years of practical experience in software engineering, with over 4 years in architecture.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge, engineering rigor, and creative problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to articulate complex technology topics to executives.
  • Experience with cloud-native applications and services architecture.
  • Extensive expertise in API and Microservices architecture, structured and unstructured databases, and data analytics architecture (e.g., Data Lake).
  • Familiarity with process automation approaches and tooling (e.g., DevOps, AIOps) is advantageous.
  • Experience in agile engineering and tooling support.
  • An agile mindset that navigates challenges and iteratively enhances architecture capabilities with a focus on business value.

Additional Information

This role may require purposeful travel based on client and business needs. Expect approximately 30-50% travel.
