Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Donor Technician to join our Flowood Mobile Team. As a Donor Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our mobile blood donation centers, providing exceptional customer service to donors, and contributing to the lifesaving mission of Mississippi Blood Services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide outstanding customer service to donors, ensuring a positive and supportive experience.
  • Perform registration, donor screening, safety procedures, and venipuncture with accuracy and efficiency.
  • Manage multiple donor beds, prioritizing tasks and maintaining a high level of productivity.
  • Accurately document donor information and maintain confidentiality.
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Assist with loading supplies, setting up, and breaking down mobile units.
  • Acquire and maintain current CPR certification.
  • Meet attendance and punctuality expectations, ensuring seamless operations.
  • Participate in pre-trip inspections and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
  • Assist in ensuring supplies are packed and ready for mobile units.
  • Operate MBS vehicles as needed.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent; stable work history and previous experience desirable.
  • Basic computer skills, including accurate data entry.
  • Valid driver's license with an excellent driving record.
  • Willingness to obtain a CDL a definite plus.
  • Ability to work fluctuating and irregular schedules, including frequent travel and overnight stays.
  • Desire to make a difference in the lives of others.
  • Ability to work cooperatively and accurately within established guidelines.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and supplies, up to 50lbs and occasionally up to 110lbs with assistance.
