Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician to join our team in Flowood, Mississippi. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a critical role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our mission to improve the lives of organ transplant patients worldwide.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain relationships with patients to ensure their medication needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Organize and manage patient refill schedules to ensure accurate and timely medication dispensing.
  • Communicate with patients and healthcare providers to resolve medication-related issues and ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Assist with inventory management, including inputting daily invoices and drug product scanning, to maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the pharmacy team to achieve company goals and objectives, including maintaining accreditation and compliance standards.
  • Provide exceptional patient care and support, ensuring patients feel valued and appreciated throughout their care journey.
  • Adhere to all company, local, state, and federal laws and guidelines, including HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (Medicare), and DEA Procedures.
Qualifications:
  • Active state licensure (Mississippi Board of Pharmacy) with no disciplinary action.
  • Baseline proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and effectively communicate with fellow members of the pharmacy staff.
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong desire to increase clinical knowledge and contribute to the success of the pharmacy team.
  • Proficiency in PioneerRx is preferred but not required.
  • Retail Specialty Pharmacy experience is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with URAC and/or ACHC accreditation is preferred but not required.
