Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster and nurture relationships with patients to enhance their experience.
  • Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage patient refill schedules, ensuring timely medication fulfillment.
  • Assist patients in accessing copay support when necessary.
  • Communicate copay amounts to patients and secure necessary approvals prior to billing, ensuring all transactions are complete before processing orders.
  • Accurately and efficiently prepare and dispense prescriptions.
  • Support inventory management tasks, including daily invoice entry and drug product scanning, as well as processing daily orders.
  • Adhere to all accreditation and compliance standards related to specialty pharmacy operations, including audits and site visits.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Demonstrate a commitment to exceptional patient care, ensuring patients feel valued and respected.
  • Comply with all relevant company policies, local, state, and federal regulations, including HIPAA, Fraud, Waste, and Abuse (Medicare), and DEA guidelines.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Possession of an active state license (Mississippi Board of Pharmacy) with no disciplinary actions.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with pharmacy staff.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a proactive approach to identifying and addressing needs.
  • Self-driven individual eager to enhance clinical knowledge.
  • Experience with PioneerRx is a plus but not mandatory.
  • Background in Retail Specialty Pharmacy is advantageous but not required.
  • Familiarity with URAC and/or ACHC accreditation is preferred but not essential.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening is required.

Work Schedule:

  • Standard business hours, Monday through Friday.
