Certified Nursing Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at UVA Health System. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support services in a fast-paced inpatient setting.
Key Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal care and activities of daily living to promote optimal recovery and well-being.
- Perform basic nursing skills as delegated by a registered nurse, including vital sign measurements, wound care, and medication administration.
- Contribute to a safe and supportive environment by maintaining patient confidentiality, adhering to infection control protocols, and reporting concerns to supervisors.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and achieve positive outcomes.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain certification and enhance skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience preferred.
- Certified Nursing Aide certification through the Virginia Board of Nursing.
- American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull 20-50 pounds; may be required to lift heavier objects with assistance.
