About the RoleThis is a full-time position on our 3 East General Medicine unit, where you will work with a team of experienced nurses and healthcare professionals to provide compassionate care to patients over the age of 65. You will assist patients with personal care, perform basic nursing skills, and provide a safe environment for patient care.
Responsibilities- Assist patients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Perform basic nursing skills, such as taking vital signs and administering medications
- Provide a safe environment for patient care, including maintaining a clean and organized workspace
- Perform administrative support functions, such as documenting patient information and communicating with healthcare teams
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a high school diploma or equivalent, a Certified Nursing Aide certification through the Virginia Board of Nursing, and American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification. You will also need to be able to lift/push/pull up to 100 pounds and be proficient in communicative, auditory, and visual skills.
