Estimated Salary Range:

$45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

  • Culinary Excellence: Provide exceptional culinary customer service and promote a fine dining experience for our residents.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Director of Culinary Services and/or Executive Director to ensure resident satisfaction with food and dining programs.
  • Kitchen Maintenance: Maintain kitchen and food storage areas in a clean, safe, and sanitary condition at all times.
  • Scheduling: Participate in opening and closing procedures, adhering to assigned cleaning schedules.
  • Supply Management: Estimate daily or weekly needs of food and supplies, communicating needs to the Director of Culinary Services.
  • Meal Preparation: Prepare and cook meals according to established recipes and approved menus.
  • Quality Control: Document temperatures of food prior to service, refrigeration, and freezer.
  • Resident Satisfaction: Ensure snacks and beverages are available to residents at all times.
  • Housekeeping: Keep kitchen floors clean and trash emptied.
  • Event Support: Assist with preparation and execution of special events, banquets, and theme meals.
  • Teamwork: Collaborate with colleagues to provide excellent customer service and maintain a positive work environment.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Education: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Experience: Minimum one to three years of experience as a cook in a hospitality or healthcare environment
  • Licenses and Certifications: Food handlers permit as required by state law and/or Company standards
  • Skills: Ability to read and follow recipes, cleaning schedules, and logs; build positive relationships with residents, team members, and coworkers
