Job Title: Production Manager

The Production Manager at Echelon Supply and Service is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day production operations of our manufacturing facility. This role requires a dynamic leader who can manage a team, optimize production workflows, and maintain high standards of quality.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Manage, coach, mentor, train, and support all direct reports, as well as oversee warehouse staff.
  • Drive production to meet customer required ship dates while working with the P&L Manager to achieve net profitability goals, margins, and costs.
  • Monitor inventory levels, forecast future inventory needs, and maintain min/max levels.
  • Maintain proper inventory organization in relation to production flow.
  • Develop and implement programs to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist in managing supplier relationships.
  • Promote employee teamwork and motivation, including employee recognition.
  • Encourage positive thinking approaches to problem solving.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews, maintain appropriate records.
  • Address and resolve employee concerns and issues.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
  • Ensure compliance with all company rules, policies, and procedures.
  • Adhere to a strict Safety Guidelines.
  • Assist the Branch Manager as necessary.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field or 3-5 years' experience in the industrial distribution.
  • Solid computer skills including use of MS Office (Word, Excel & Outlook), with a willingness to learn new software programs.
  • Experience in the Industrial Hose industry preferred, preferably fluid power components. Familiarity with industrial and hydraulic hose and fittings preferred.
  • Experience with industrial distribution workflow.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record, in accordance with company guidelines.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent written & oral communication and strong relationship building skills required.
  • Detail oriented with solid organizational skills and the ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Ability to multi-task, and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Possess analytical and technical skills required to understand business practices and recommend proper automation opportunities.
  • Must be able to work with a wide variety of people and personalities.
Physical Requirements:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is an active role; however, some office work at a desk is required. This job requires the ability to bend, stoop, sit, stand, reach, and lift items up to 50 lbs.
