Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Person to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Oriskany Falls. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for planning and organizing employees for production and repair, ensuring the efficient operation of our crushing plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and organize work schedules for a team of employees, ensuring effective use of resources and meeting production goals.
  • Perform repair and maintenance tasks on crushing and screening equipment, including disassembly, overhaul, and assembly.
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment repairs and maintenance, including written or data input spreadsheets.
  • Ensure all equipment repairs are performed to manufacturer standards, ensuring safety and quality.
  • Inspect and diagnose equipment issues, performing repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Install and replace bearings, speed reducers, shafts, pulleys, idlers, motors, couplings, and other equipment components.
  • Make major repairs to crushers, screens, mechanical feeders, and conveyor systems.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal production.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Cutting and welding experience necessary.
  • Ability to learn and operate crushing plant equipment and mobile equipment.
  • Strong mechanical background with conveyors, screens, and crushers.
  • Open pit mining operations and aggregate products experience required.
  • MSHA training a plus.
