Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Groundperson to join our team at Heidelberg Materials US, Inc. in Oriskany Falls. As a Groundperson, you will be responsible for maintaining the plant areas, assisting with production, and performing maintenance tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain plant areas, including heavy lifting and shoveling
  • Assist with production process and perform maintenance tasks
  • Learn operation of on-site equipment, lubricate and maintain fixed plant equipment
  • Perform heavy maintenance when required
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 1-2 years of general labor and maintenance experience
  • Prior experience working in a construction environment highly desired

Physical Requirements

This position requires sitting, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, twisting, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, reaching, grasping, squatting, repetitive motions, manipulative finger movements, and use of wrists and feet. The ability to work in confined spaces, tolerate heights, and lift up to 75 lbs. is also required.
