Job Title: Principal Radar Engineer/ScientistJob Summary:

V2X is seeking a highly skilled Principal Radar Engineer/Scientist to provide expertise in sensor systems across the entire acquisition lifecycle. The successful candidate will support the development and execution of systems engineering plans, plan and execute engineering strategies, and perform technical analysis and systems engineering support.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute systems engineering plans from requirements identification through design verification.
  • Plan and execute engineering strategies in accordance with approved project acquisition strategies and plan.
  • Perform technical analysis and systems engineering support to facilitate architecture design, interoperability, specification analysis and development, solutions implementation, and systems sustainment.
  • Develop test and evaluation documentation, including laboratory testing plans, new technology evaluation documents, usability engineering documents, and laboratory testing of SW/MW test articles.
  • Research and develop systems/subsystem specification documents, including compliance, completeness, and consistency of component and interface requirements.
  • Support signal processing activities, including waveform, clutter management, and electronic protection development.
  • Duties may be conducted in government or contractor office or laboratory environments, as well as field work in direct support of USN/USMC organizations.
Qualifications:
  • Must meet one or more of the following:
    • A bachelor's degree from a school of engineering with at least one curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) as a professional engineering curriculum in one of the following:
      • Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering
    • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics
    • A master's degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study:
      • Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics
    • A Ph.D degree from an accredited college or university in one of the following fields of study: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science,
  • General Experience is defined as experience since award of degree:
    • Minimum twenty (20) years with a bachelor's degree
    • Minimum fifteen (15) years with a master's degree
    • Minimum ten (10) years with a Ph.D degree
  • Specialized Experience:
    • Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in complex radar system engineering, design, analysis, or sensor software development. OR Complex radar system engineering with emphasis on Fourier Analysis, IQ Signals, In-Depth RF knowledge, Digital Signal Processing, Wavelet knowledge, and Radar Signal Processing.
  • Clearance Requirement:
    • US Citizenship
    • Active Secret Clearance
  • Technology:
    • Personal computer, printer, copy machine, and other general office equipment.
