Job Summary

Axient is seeking a highly skilled Radar and Sensor Engineer/Scientist to support Sensor Systems Engineering and Technical Support (SSETS) for Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) B Department.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will provide expertise in sensor systems engineering, design, analysis, and software development for complex radar systems. They will work closely with the Advanced Sensor Systems Division B40 and Sensor Data Exploitation Division B60 to support multiple Navy and Marine Corps Radar Systems.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate must be a US Citizen and hold a Secret Clearance. They must also meet one of the following education requirements:

(a) A Bachelor's degree from a school of engineering with an ABET-accredited curriculum in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electronics Engineering.

(b) A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.

(c) A Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.

(d) A. degree from an accredited college or university in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Physics.

Experience

The candidate must have at least 10 years of experience in radar/sensor engineering since award of degree. They must also have experience in complex radar system engineering, design, analysis, or radar software development.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a solid technical background and be able to perform detailed and complex calculations. They must also have experience in assessing advanced sensor systems concepts, assessing specifications, and performing system integration.
