The Opportunity

We're seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Member Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences in our offices. Your primary focus will be on removing barriers to care, ensuring a smooth and efficient patient flow, and maintaining a positive and welcoming environment for our patients and staff.

You will be the first point of contact for patient feedback and will work closely with our leads, office managers, and providers to ensure that our patients receive the highest level of care. Your strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional patient experiences through impeccable communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills.
  • Manage patient intake, same-day schedule management, and follow-up scheduling to ensure a seamless patient flow.
  • Verify insurance and handle billing and paperwork tasks efficiently.
  • Contribute to team development through rounding, attending team huddles, and participating in problem-solving initiatives.
  • Master our technology suite, including Slack, G-suite, Zoom, and our Electronic Medical Record System, to interact with team members and patients.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, daily office upkeep, and maintain the look and feel of patient and employee-facing spaces.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in high-touch customer or patient-facing roles.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working on collaborative, diverse, and feedback-driven teams.
  • A proven track record of persisting through change, demonstrating a forward-thinking perspective, and consistently stepping up to take action on challenges.
  • Proficiency in computer technology, including typing, navigating the internet, and using multiple software systems simultaneously.

Physical Demands

This role requires mostly sedentary work duties, exerting up to ten pounds of force occasionally and/or small amounts of force frequently. Sedentary work typically involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods.
