Position: Psychiatrist - Adult Addiction and WINGS Program

The Psychiatrist in this role is chiefly accountable for conducting initial assessments, managing medications, and overseeing the overall treatment of individuals enrolled in the Addiction Day Treatment and WINGS (psychiatric day treatment) programs.

Work Schedule:

  • Office Hours: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
  • No after-hours responsibilities; a designated staff member addresses urgent issues for current patients

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Perform three 60-minute intake evaluations daily
  2. Conduct follow-up consultations lasting between 20 to 30 minutes
  3. Manage an average caseload of 12 patients each day
  4. Complete Psychiatric History and Physical examinations and Assessments for each patient to determine appropriate care levels
  5. Facilitate 2-3 intake evaluations daily and provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up for each patient within the program.

WINGS Program Overview: The WINGS program offers a partial hospitalization service. This two-week mental health initiative caters to adults requiring more support than outpatient therapy but less than inpatient care. Participants engage in group sessions focusing on stress management, enhancing coping mechanisms, effective communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and managing anger.

Addiction Day Treatment Options:

Level 1: An intensive three-week program that delivers personalized treatment aimed at addressing addiction and facilitating recovery.

Level 2: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) provides a five-week, transitional environment for individuals who have completed the ADT.

Level 3: Extended Care (EC) is a six-week maintenance program designed for patients who have finished one or both of the more intensive programs or for those who do not require the intensity of ADT or IOP.
