Addiction Program Psychiatrist

Position: Psychiatrist - Adult Addiction and WINGS Program
The Psychiatrist in this role is chiefly accountable for conducting initial assessments, managing medications, and overseeing the comprehensive care of individuals enrolled in the Addiction Day Treatment and WINGS (psychiatric day treatment) programs.
Work Schedule:
- Office Hours: 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM
- No after-hours on-call duties; a designated staff member addresses urgent situations for current patients
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform three 60-minute intake evaluations daily
- Conduct follow-up consultations lasting between 20 to 30 minutes
- Manage an average caseload of 12 patients each day
- Regularly execute Psychiatric History and Physical assessments to determine the appropriate level of care for each patient
- Facilitate 2-3 intake evaluations daily and provide ongoing monitoring and follow-up for each participant in the program
WINGS Program Overview: The WINGS initiative is a partial hospitalization program designed for adults requiring more support than outpatient counseling but not necessitating inpatient treatment. Participants engage in group sessions focused on stress management, enhancing coping mechanisms, effective communication, establishing healthy boundaries, and managing anger.
Addiction Day Treatment Levels:
Level 1: An intensive three-week program that delivers personalized treatment aimed at addressing addiction and fostering recovery.
Level 2: Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) - A five-week transitional environment for individuals who have successfully completed the ADT.
Level 3: Extended Care (EC) - A six-week maintenance program tailored for patients who have finished one or both of the more intensive programs or for those who do not require the intensity of ADT or IOP.
