Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Education Assistant I to join our team at Cumberland County Schools. The successful candidate will provide academic support to students, assist teachers with instructional tasks, and maintain a safe and organized learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instruction and support to students as prescribed by teachers.
Assist teachers with lesson planning, preparation, and implementation.
Maintain accurate records of student progress and attendance.
Supervise students during class activities and ensure their safety.
Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to develop and implement instructional plans.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Working Conditions:

Work is performed in a school setting with frequent interaction with students, teachers, and other staff members.
May be required to lift, bend, or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
May be required to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
