Principal Systems Test Engineer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal/Sr Principal Systems Test Engineer to join our team at Northrop Grumman. As a key member of our Test and Evaluation organization, you will be responsible for leading the development of acceptance test plans, test schedules, and test procedures. Your expertise in system test environments and ability to work under general direction will be invaluable in determining and developing approaches to solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the development of acceptance test plans, test schedules, and test procedures.
- Support and host test planning working groups.
- Interface with design and analysis functions to develop test and test data requirements.
- Coordinate test equipment and personnel requirements for safe and efficient execution of tests.
- Provide test execution support and make real-time decisions regarding safety, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Participate in post-test data evaluation and discrepancy resolution.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Science, Technical, Engineering or Math (STEM)
- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience with a BS Degree, 3 years engineering experience with a MS degree in STEM Field, or 0 years with a PhD in STEM Field
- Experience in a system test environment
- Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
- Must have ability to obtain and maintain Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience that includes test planning, execution, and operations
- Active DoD Top Secret clearance
- Active Special Program Access (SAP)
Salary Range: $97,500 - $146,300
Salary Range 2: $120,900 - $181,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
