Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Support Service Project Manager to support our service department. The ideal candidate will have strong electrical skills and a customer service-oriented personality, with a solid understanding of how machines work and run.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply project management practices and processes to various Engineering projects that involve multiple pieces of semi-automated or fully automated customized food processing and packaging equipment.
  • Assist sales by helping to define project requirements, understanding customer needs, determining proper equipment, required line rates, space, and utilities, and timeline.
  • Assess and manage risk.
  • Manage expectations by setting realistic timelines, communicating project status, milestones, and unexpected difficulties.
  • Develop and maintain schedules (design, manufacture, install, FATs).
  • Determine internal and external resources needed.
  • Manage equipment integration - draw and publish the lines mechanically and electrically.
  • Manage salesmen, Reiser techs, and vendor techs (both Reiser suppliers and outside vendors).
  • Manage and disseminate documentation.
  • Be a single point of contact for Reiser for project communication both internally and externally.
  • Sources and procures equipment.
  • Work with our vendors to ensure equipment is properly specified.
  • Orchestrate internal and external FAT's.
  • Manage projects through our shops.
  • Coordinate changes to standard equipment and assist with setup of equipment ahead of Factory Acceptance Testing.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical or Industrial Engineering preferred).
  • Educated in the fundamentals of project management.
  • History of managing successful capital equipment projects including equipment from different suppliers.
  • Has worked in the food industry and specifically with food production lines (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of how machines work and run.
  • Professional communication skills both verbal and writing as well as solid presentation skills.
  • 2D and 3D CAD experience (Solidworks and AutoCAD preferred).
  • Team Leadership (establishes goals and gets input from others).
  • Time Management skills of yourself and others.
  • Management - focuses on getting work done against agreed-upon requirements/timelines.
  • Project management and organizational experience.
  • Estimating Experience.
  • Planning.
  • Negotiation and Influencing skills.
