Primary Responsibilities

The ideal candidate will adhere to established attendance and safety protocols. This role involves executing a range of welding tasks, utilizing various welding apparatus effectively. The individual will be accountable for ensuring quality standards are met and will follow the JobBoss process for accurate reporting.

Key Duties
  • Guide the welding electrode or gun along designated weld lines, adjusting arc length and movement speed to achieve the required fusion depth and bead quality, assessed through visual and auditory indicators.
  • Support other departments as needed and may take on leadership responsibilities, including line setup and quality checks of peers' welds.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the ability to:

  • Conduct basic shop mathematics and convert decimals to fractions.
  • Utilize a calibrated tape measure accurately.
  • Interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
  • Understand and follow written, oral, and diagrammatic instructions, including safety guidelines and operational manuals.
Experience Requirements

A minimum of 6 months of welding experience is required, with a preference for candidates who have 3 years of experience in welding, blueprint reading, and quality assurance.
