POSITION SUMMARY:

The Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of our advanced systems. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills to support our clients effectively.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate under the guidance of the Field Services Manager and collaborate with Field Services Engineers.
  • Execute installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the Company's Cart Containment systems and related technologies.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal performance of all systems.
  • Address service and repair requests promptly within designated regions.
  • Travel extensively (up to 70%) across various locations, with the flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Make informed decisions on-site to resolve system issues efficiently.
  • Manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment while maintaining a high level of organization and attention to detail.
  • Assist in training new Field Service Technicians and contractors.
  • Follow directions meticulously while maintaining a focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Comply with the Company's standard operating procedures and uphold its Core Values, Mission, and Vision.
  • Utilize scheduling systems for installation and service, as well as for tracking expenses.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To excel in this role, candidates must demonstrate the following:

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Capacity to follow instructions accurately and effectively.
  • Diplomatic problem-solving skills for handling challenging customer interactions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Leadership qualities to guide and support team members.
  • Experience with security camera systems, point of sale systems, and electrical devices.
  • Familiarity with dustless concrete cutting and asphalt work.
  • Proficiency in installing devices in retail environments.
  • Experience in running wires through walls and ceilings, as well as bending and installing conduit.
  • Proficient in using power tools and scissor lifts.
  • Competence in software related to installation and service scheduling.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in device installation within retail settings.
  • At least 2 years of experience with electrical and low voltage devices, including concrete cutting and conduit installation.
  • Experience in general contracting or related fields is preferred.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills are essential for positive outcomes.
  • A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
