We are currently seeking a highly skilled professional to take on the role of Head of Sustainability and Climate Strategy. This position can be based in any of our North American offices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the expansion of Ausenco's sustainability and climate strategy services, ensuring effective planning and execution across various client sectors.
- Lead and develop a team of experts to deliver comprehensive sustainability strategies and climate risk management services.
- Facilitate collaboration across the organization to enhance the delivery of sustainability initiatives in sectors such as minerals, infrastructure, transportation, renewable energy, and government.
- Oversee the assessment and reporting of Ausenco's carbon footprint, including greenhouse gas reduction projects as outlined in our sustainability reports.
- Prepare strategic briefings and action plans to guide the development and provision of sustainability services.
- Establish and maintain a strong reputation as a thought leader in sustainability and climate change, enhancing revenue opportunities with both new and existing clients.
- Support the implementation of our corporate sustainability strategy, continuously seeking innovative ways to achieve sustainable outcomes for our clients.
- Contribute to project proposals, estimates, and scope definitions.
Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Extensive experience in consulting, particularly within a high-growth environment, ideally in engineering or business management.
- A proven track record of leading multi-disciplinary teams to develop effective solutions for climate change challenges.
- Expertise in sustainability strategies, climate change projects, and greenhouse gas accounting.
- Familiarity with key industries such as mining, transportation, and renewable energy.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to create and deliver compelling presentations.
- Strong commercial acumen and experience in business development, including previous P&L responsibility.
- The capability to navigate complexity and drive initiatives to successful completion.
- A degree in science, engineering, or business; publications in relevant fields are a plus.
- Fluency in English is essential, with additional language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, or French being advantageous.
