Position Title: Youth Worker/Transportation – ORR

Reporting Structure: Out of School Coordinator

Role Summary

Upon contract acquisition, the Youth Worker/Transportation is dedicated to positively impacting the lives of families served by the National Youth Advocate Program by collaborating closely with youth and families to provide advocacy and support towards specific objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Youth Worker/Transportation will undertake responsibilities including, but not limited to:

Conduct all activities in alignment with the National Youth Advocate Program's mission, values, and principles. Engage with youth to cultivate a trusting, supportive relationship while assisting them in reaching identified objectives. Provide appropriate leadership and guidance during program activities. Design and implement activities that integrate program goals into daily routines. Foster a warm, nurturing, and secure environment for youth. Maintain a positive demeanor towards all youth, colleagues, families, and others involved in the program. Report any emerging issues to the Out of School Coordinator. Oversee all preparations for activities and room setups for the program. Complete all required training promptly as mandated by state, contract, and/or licensing agency standards. Ensure timely completion of all necessary documentation.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Must be 21 years of age or older. High School Diploma or equivalent GED. Valid driver's license with a safe driving record and dependable transportation. Ability to lift up to 50lbs of luggage and work with young children. Reliable telephone access. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is required. Must possess a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, automotive insurance, and a good driving record. Minimum automobile insurance coverage of $100,000/300,000 for bodily injury liability. Proficient in using desktop and laptop computers, internet browsing, people management software, smartphones and tablets, printers, fax machines, and photocopiers, as well as software for word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
