Position Title:
Sanitation Operations Manager 3rd Shift

Position Overview:

We are currently in search of a detail-oriented and proactive individual to take on the role of Sanitation Operations Manager.

In this position, you will oversee the daily sanitation functions within our facility, ensuring adherence to health regulations, upholding cleanliness standards, training personnel, and emphasizing safety protocols.

The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, exceptional problem-solving skills, and a proven dedication to fostering a safe and hygienic workplace.


Responsibilities:

Sanitation Operations Oversight:

Direct and actively engage in the implementation of daily sanitation tasks, including cleaning, sanitizing, waste management, and pest control, to ensure compliance with established guidelines and schedules.

Conduct routine inspections to evaluate sanitation conditions, pinpoint areas needing enhancement, and initiate prompt corrective measures.
Lead by example in sustaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the facility.
Collaborate with the Sanitation Operations Superintendent to formulate and revise sanitation protocols, procedures, and guidelines.
Manage the inventory of sanitation supplies, equipment, and chemicals, ensuring their availability, proper storage, and efficient usage.

Employee Training and Development:
Educate and mentor sanitation personnel on proper sanitation practices, equipment usage, safety protocols, and personal hygiene standards.
Provide continuous coaching and support to staff, ensuring their comprehension and compliance with sanitation protocols and safety guidelines.
Encourage a positive and inclusive workplace culture, promoting teamwork, open communication, and ongoing improvement.

Safety and Compliance:
Promote a safety-first culture and ensure compliance with safety guidelines, policies, and procedures within the sanitation team.
Identify and address potential safety hazards or risks associated with sanitation operations.

Work alongside the health and safety team to implement and reinforce safety initiatives, conduct training sessions, and investigate incidents.

Ensure adherence to all relevant sanitation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.

Quality Control and Continuous Improvement:
Establish quality control measures to ensure sanitation processes meet established standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve any sanitation-related issues that may affect product quality and safety.
Proactively seek opportunities for process enhancement in sanitation operations, implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in sanitation management, proposing relevant improvements or upgrades.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Additional relevant education or certifications are advantageous.
Demonstrated experience in hands-on sanitation operations, preferably within a manufacturing or food processing setting.
Strong understanding of sanitation regulations and industry best practices.
Excellent leadership and supervisory abilities, with the capacity to lead by example and effectively motivate a team.
Hands-on approach with a willingness to actively engage in sanitation tasks as required.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and develop staff, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
Proficient computer skills, including experience with MS Office applications.
Commitment to safety and the ability to promote and enforce a culture of safety.
Physical stamina and capability to perform hands-on duties that may involve bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
