General Manager in Training

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced General Manager Trainee to join our team at Rhodes Convenience Stores Inc. As a General Manager Trainee, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our stores, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.
Key Responsibilities- Guest Focus: Provide outstanding customer service by creating a welcoming environment, greeting and acknowledging every guest, and maintaining high standards of product knowledge.
- Business Acumen: Analyze business trends, develop and implement plans to maximize sales, and meet or exceed goals and objectives.
- Financial Management: Control shrink, expenses, and payroll to ensure the store's financial health.
- In-stocks and Merchandising: Ensure adequate merchandise stock levels, merchandise adjacencies, and presentations to meet customer needs.
- Competitive Sales: Compare prices with competitors, report results, and make price adjustments as needed.
- Goals and Objectives: Review store trends, recommend changes, and initiate actions to maximize goals and objectives.
- Policies and Procedures: Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures by maintaining a thorough understanding of company standards.
- Performance Review and Talent Management: Continuously evaluate and react to performance issues, actively recruit management candidates, and train and develop store management in all aspects of the business.
- Education: High school diploma or GED
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in retail store and/or restaurant management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role
- Preferred Experience: Experience managing a staff of retail workers
This role operates in a fast-paced retail environment with merchandise displays and items available for purchase in inventory. The position also involves traveling to stores within the district.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds.
