Position Overview:

This role involves leading and implementing onboarding best practices while supporting learning and engagement initiatives across the manufacturing division to meet or exceed targets that foster associate success and retention.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the onboarding process for all new associates in the manufacturing division by developing and executing comprehensive training plans focused on production readiness. Continuously improve training materials and coordinate benchmarking activities with other departments.
  • Acquire necessary skills to effectively instruct department-specific training sessions. Lead training for associates on essential topics that contribute to their success. Analyze training activities and data, providing insights in monthly reports.
  • Collect and evaluate data to support continuous improvement initiatives that aid in associate development. Contribute to departmental and plant business planning activities.
  • Assess training effectiveness in Honda-provided systems and department-specific systems. Ensure associate training requirements are met and communicate scheduled training opportunities.
  • Establish metrics and benchmarks to consistently evaluate the effectiveness of learning and development programs, ensuring alignment with organizational needs.
  • Support engagement and training initiatives across the plant, including community outreach and internal training programs.
  • Assist with the Indirect New Hire Onboarding process, coordinating schedules and onboarding information with hiring managers and development teams.
  • Support Plant as Department Involvement Lead (DIL) or in designated areas as needed.

Candidate Profile:

Required Experience:

  • At least 1 year of experience in HR or learning and development.

Required Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Organizational Leadership, or a related field, or equivalent experience in a training-related role.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with Honda Learning Systems (e.g., HLC).
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Results-driven mindset.
  • Technical and business acumen.

Additional Position Details:

  • Onsite work required.
  • Minimal travel may be necessary.
