About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team at Walmart Global Tech. As a Staff Software Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and engineering integrations for complex enterprise systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing insights to drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop scalable, cloud-native platforms and applications with resiliency at their core.
  • Provide solution design and architecture plans for mobile apps with distributed backend services.
  • Define and enforce mobile development and React Native best practices.
  • Develop and maintain high-quality software applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and technical standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities and drive resolution.
  • Participate in code reviews, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in software engineering.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in software engineering or related field.
  • Strong technical skills in software development, including experience with React Native, mobile development, and cloud-native platforms.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of accessibility best practices and experience with implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards.
