Dermatology Faculty Position

The University of New Mexico School of Medicine Department of Dermatology is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual for a full-time academic faculty position as a General Dermatologist with a special interest in complex inpatient/consultative medical dermatology.
About the PositionWe serve a large, truly diverse, and medically complex patient population. As the only academic health center/flagship institution for the entire state, we are the consultative resource for Dermatology in New Mexico and also serve the Four Corners region of the Southwest.
Our population is uniquely multicultural and multilingual, with 22 American Indian tribes and nations as well as vibrant Hispanic/Latinx, African American, and Asian American communities.
We are specifically seeking an individual with expertise and interest in this domain to join our existing highly-qualified faculty.
ResponsibilitiesAs a General Dermatologist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, teaching and mentoring residents, and contributing to the growth and improvement of the ACGME-accredited residency training program.
You will also have the opportunity to engage in research, participate in departmental and institutional committees, and contribute to the development of educational programs.
QualificationsTo be eligible for this position, you must have a Medical Doctor or equivalent degree, be board-eligible or certified in Dermatology, and be eligible for medical licensure in NM.
You must also be eligible to work in the U.S. and have a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism.
Preferred QualificationsDemonstrated interest, experience, or excellence in complex inpatient/consultative medical dermatology is preferred.
Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism, as well as experience working with broadly diverse teams and communities, is also preferred.
You should have demonstrated skills/interest that would contribute to the growth and improvement of the ACGME-accredited residency training program as pertains to specialty/pediatric dermatologic care in a collaborative manner.
