Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Engineer to join our team at the Naval Sea Systems Command. As a Nuclear Engineer, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and testing of nuclear propulsion systems for the US Navy.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop nuclear-powered reactor systems and components
  • Evaluate naval nuclear propulsion system designs
  • Provide technical project management for the planning, design, development, construction, modification, testing, and operation of assigned nuclear propulsion components and systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in nuclear engineering, with a bachelor's degree in a relevant field and at least one year of experience in a related field. You will also need to have a good understanding of engineering principles, mathematics, and physics, as well as excellent communication and project management skills.
