Job Title: Unit Clerk

Nemours Children's Health is seeking a dedicated and organized Unit Clerk to join our Emergency Services Department in Wilmington, DE.

Job Summary:

The Unit Clerk will play a vital role in supporting the healthcare team by providing exceptional patient care and administrative support. This is a full-time position working 8A-8P.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care and efficient unit functioning.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and families, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Manage unit clerical tasks, including maintaining accurate records, coordinating with staff, and ensuring adequate stock of necessary equipment and supplies.
  • Engage with staff across multiple departments to obtain information and resources, promoting a culture of teamwork and collaboration.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma required.
  • Current AHA Healthcare Provider Certification required.
  • Previous Inpatient Clerk experience preferred.
  • Medical terminology training preferred.
