Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Office Coordinator to join our team at Acadia Healthcare. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of patient care, ensuring accurate and timely billing and collection of payments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient demographic information and benefits in the patient accounting system.
  • Provide financial counseling to patients and/or guarantors, explaining their benefits and financial obligations.
  • Complete financial disclosure paperwork, verifying income and expenses, and processing charity or administrative adjustments.
  • Update daily logs, including upfront collection, charity, and admin adjustment logs, and review with the Business Operations Director on a weekly basis.
  • Analyze data from the system to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and implement strategic steps to increase payment.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Three or more years' experience in a related field, preferably in a healthcare setting.
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of Commercial Insurance and Medicare/Medicaid.
