Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities Include:


Overseeing and coordinating drilling operations, subsurface investigations, and remediation efforts, which includes soil classification and the collection and submission of environmental samples (soil, water, sediment, soil gas, and indoor air) in compliance with state and federal regulations, QA/QC protocols, and established standard operating procedures.


Preparation and/or evaluation of technical reports that summarize activities, interpret and analyze data, draft soil boring and monitoring well construction logs, and contribute to the formulation of recommendations and remedial strategies.

Conducting and/or coordinating ASTM-compliant Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, Conceptual Remedial Action Plans, and other due diligence activities.

Possessing a solid understanding of and experience with Maine DEP guidelines, EPA regulations (including the Brownfields Program), and ASTM standards. Familiarity with MassDEP and NHDES regulations is preferred but not mandatory.

Drafting proposals for both new and existing clientele.

Managing projects with direct accountability for invoicing, as well as scope, schedule, and budget oversight.

Collaborating with senior staff to devise solutions to project challenges.


Supervising field personnel and other project staff to ensure adherence to budgets, timelines, and proposed scopes of work.

Engaging directly with clients.


Qualifications:


Essential Qualifications Include:


A Bachelor's degree in geology, environmental science, engineering, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.

A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, including project or task management expertise.

OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification, including current refresher training.

A strong desire to learn and grow professionally.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with experience in client interactions in a professional and service-oriented manner.

The candidate must demonstrate reliability as a team player and self-starter.

Ability to work in both home and office environments.

The position may require lifting equipment (up to 50 pounds) and working outdoors in various conditions.

Occasional travel may be necessary.
