Job Title: Donation Center Attendant

Join our team as a Donation Center Attendant at Memphis Goodwill Incorporated. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in accepting and sorting donations from the public, ensuring they are processed and secured until picked up by our trucks.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greets and assists donors with donations upon arrival, providing a receipt and thanking them for their generosity.
  • Processes donations according to our ADC Processing Procedures, ensuring items are properly sorted and secured.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workspace, including sweeping and tidying up the center.
  • Breaks down empty boxes and keeps the desk area clean.
  • Secures the donation center at the end of the day and assists the truck driver with loading and unloading.
  • Notifies the manager of any needed supplies, truck service, or maintenance requirements.
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain balance while lifting, loading, or unloading.
  • Constant public contact and ability to effectively relate to people with various disabilities, personalities, and cultural backgrounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods and work in extreme weather conditions.
